About
A site to choose where to dive
Dive Sites brings together guides to dive sites: depth, required level, current, visibility, the best months, how to get there, the budget, and the animals you meet there, with their calendar. Each guide answers the question you ask before you book: is this dive site for me, and when should I go?
Checked and dated facts
The figures come from sources we checked: marine parks and reserves, dive centers and their rate cards, authorities for visas and entry fees, and scientific work for the species. Each guide shows the date it was last checked, and we go back over them one by one. A mistake, a price that has changed, a new rule: tell us on the Contact page and we will fix it.
Real photos, with credits
The photos show the sites and the species as they are. They are published under a free license or with their author's permission, and the © button on each image opens the credit with a link to the original.
How the site is funded
The site is free and needs no account. It is funded by affiliate links: when you book accommodation or an activity through the site's links and its accommodation map (Booking.com, Expedia, Hotels.com and GetYourGuide, through Stay22), we earn a commission at no extra cost to you. The dive centers named in the guides are there because they publish their prices, not because they pay us: no dive center pays us and we publish no sponsored articles.
Who is behind it
Dive Sites is published by Kaviar Creative, a French company that also publishes Trip Planner, a travel itinerary planner, and Safari Trip, the same format applied to safaris. The publisher's details are on the legal notice page.
